Driving Courses in English

Whether you're living, working or studying in the Czech Republic, we can help you get your Czech driving licence.

At Autoškola Kvapil, we offer complete driving courses in English for both:

Category B – Passenger cars
Category BE – Car with trailer

We have already successfully trained many international students and people from all over the world.Our instructors are patient, experienced and will guide you through the entire process from your first lesson until the final driving test.

The course price is exactly the same as for Czech students. There are no extra fees for lessons in English.

Who can apply?

To obtain a Czech driving licence, you generally need to:

Have your usual residence in the Czech Republic, or study here for at least 6 months.
Be at least 18 years old for a Category B licence (training can begin slightly earlier).
Be medically fit and provide a medical certificate from your general practitioner.
Successfully complete both the theoretical and practical driving tests.
Not be subject to a driving ban or any legal restriction preventing the issue of a driving licence.

Don't speak Czech?

That's not a problem.

All practical lessons and course materials can be provided in English.

If you decide to take the official final theory or practical examination in English, Czech authorities usually require a certified court interpreter. The interpreter is arranged and paid for by the applicant.

We'll gladly explain the whole process and help you prepare.

Required Documents

Before starting your course, you will usually need:

Passport or EU national ID card
Proof of residence (or another document proving your usual residence in the Czech Republic)
Medical certificate
Driving school application form
